Importance of Computers

Computers play a great role in our lives. Human beings would have not advanced enough without computers. Computers have not only made our lives easier but they have also brought the world closer. Today, a person in America could see what is happening to their relatives in Asia. We could talk to each other via video conferencing. Computers take fractions of seconds to perform a complex mathematical problem. Computers could be used in any and every field. We could use computers to study, play, work, research etc.

Being equipped with some computer knowledge is absolutely essential in today’s world. One needs to have some primary knowledge to advance in whatever field one is working on. On one side we look at the wonders of computers but on the other side, computers could also have a bad effect on us. Children are getting exposed to computers and they could easily access information that they should not see. The primary goal of developing technology is to reduce human effort and advance in performing different tasks. However, we need to decide as to how to use technology effectively. The effective use of technology could make our lives heaven on Earth but using technology in a devastating way could make our lives hell on Earth.

Wireless Networking Precautions

Nowadays, free wireless networks are provided at various places such as airports, restaurants, Starbucks etc. When we connect to the wireless networks, we connect to a network that is unknown to us and multiple other users could also use the same network. This could increase the chances of frauds. Hence, in order to protect ourselves from these kind of frauds, we must be precautious in terms what type of network are we accessing.

IT Experts can easily crack wireless networks and hence our vital information such as our passwords for banks and other important places are exposed to some unknown third party. One of the best ways to protect ourselves from these networking frauds is to avoid using public networks for accessing banking information or other vital information.

Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a term that describes a variety of different computing concepts that involve a large number of computers that are connected through a real time communication network. Cloud computing is primarily used to share resources. Cloud allows multiple users to access resources and also allows reallocating depending on the demand.

Some of the advantages of cloud include the convenience of running applications faster with improved manageability and less maintenance.  The concept of cloud computing was first introduced in the 1950’s to increase the efficiency of costly maintenance of mainframes. The main goal of cloud is to cut costs of the users involved in business and provide them with technology to efficiently carry run their business.
