Computer Forensics


Computer forensics is a branch of digital computer science where investigators investigate for legal evidences found in computers and other storage devices. This is mainly done when people commit computer crimes. This branch of computer science is becoming a widely well-known form of investigation in American Judicial system.
Computer forensics is essential in today’s society. It is in great demand due to increasing Internet frauds. Computer forensics is considered “defense-in-depth”. Computer forensics is a vital field because it could save one’s money. Computers have definitely brought our world closer but on the other hand, it has also increased the risks of frauds. Risks can be avoided using computer forensics. Computer forensics can support our bank systems, company’s vital data and our own important information. There are many Universities that offer an undergraduate program in computer forensics.
