Internet filters and parental control software

Parental controls are features that could be included in digital television services, computers, mobile phones and video games. The primary goal of parental controls is to avoid kids to have access to everything on the web. Since in today’s world everything is very easy to access, parents could use parent control software that could restrict some of the inappropriate things that children should not access.

Many different companies provide Internet filters. Some of them are Verizon and Apple. Verizon was the first company to provide filters that would restrict the access of certain contents. Apple was the first company to provide an inbuilt feature on iPhones and iPod Touches that limits the access based on age groups.
